Zomato To Discontinue Food Ordering Service In UAE From November 24
Zomato, the India-based online restaurant discovery and food delivery platform, is discontinuing its food ordering service in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 24 November. Customers will be redirected to the Talabat app. Credit card and other banking details saved on the Zomato app will remain safe. When users log into Zomato, they will see three tabs: Delivery, Dining and Pro. Clicking on the first will advise them to download the Talabat app. Zomato plans to focus on restaurant discovery and dining out but will continue to develop its business with its Vibe Check and Zomato Pay features, allowing its restaurant partners to promote and acquire payments from users. Any pending amounts and credit notes will be paid to restaurants by 30 December 2022.
