Tyson Fury reveals big mistake Joe Joyce made during latest camp as he offers Zhilei Zhang rematch prediction

Tyson Fury has shared his thoughts on Zhilei Zhang vs Joe Joyce II.

The WBC heavyweight champion could be next whoever wins the eagerly anticipated rematch between two top contenders in London on Saturday night.

In April, Joyce suffered the first defeat of his career against Zhang who battered him for six rounds before referee Howard Foster waved off the fight to stop ‘The Juggernaut’ from taking more damage to his badly swollen eye.

“He got beat like I thought he would. Me and Shane [Fury] thought that Zhang would beat him,” Fury told Queensberry Promotions ahead of the rematch.

“I thought that Joe would have to get up the floor a couple of times and claw a win back. Maybe, if he took him a few rounds. Obviously, he didn’t, and he got beat.”

‘The Gypsy King’ made a public offer to spar Joyce during his latest camp and even suggested that he has some tactical tips for his compatriot.

However, the Olympic silver medallist never made it to Fury’s gym and it’s left the best big man in boxing worried about Joyce’s ability to avenge his lone loss.

He added: “I told Joe, live on the internet, that if you come to Morecambe Bay, I’ll almost guarantee you a win over Zhang. But he didn’t, he went to Vegas.

“You can’t help somebody who don’t want to be helped. It is what it is.”

“Tough fight again. 50/50. But you’d have to favour the champion, because one he’s just beat him already, knocked him out, and two his confidence will be high knowing he can win. Before he wasn’t sure, now he knows.”

“If Joe would’ve come up to Morecambe Bay, he would’ve smashed Zhang.

“Now, I’m not so sure. You have to favour the Chinese man, purely on the fact he’s already beat him once, and if [Joyce] goes down the same road in the next fight he’ll beat him again.”

Both Zhang and Joyce want a shot at Fury’s heavyweight title.

Before that can happen, the Manchester man must first get by former UFC champion Francis Ngannou when they clash in Saudia Arabia on October 28.

Only then can Fury start to think about who his next defence will be against.
