Former US president Donald Trump has launched his second non-fungible token (NFT) collection, featuring 47,000 trading cards on the Polygon network. Each card was priced at $100 and generated approximately $4.6m in sales. However, the collection floor price now sits below the mint price at $97 and has a low number of unique owners. Trump’s initial NFT collection has also suffered, with the market diluted and the floor price of the first series slumping around 61% since the new launch. Despite this, Trump has taken to Instagram to announce the launch of Series 2, saying he wants his fans and supporters to have fun and make money. Each buyer of 47 NFT trading cards will receive a ticket to a gala dinner with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago golf club in Florida.
