This is the F-150 Lightning fire that made Ford pause production

CNBC has obtained video footage and images of the fire that engulfed a set of Ford F-150 Lightnings in a holding lot in Dearborn, Michigan earlier this year. The video shows police arriving on the scene as smoke billows from a group of electric trucks tucked in the back of the lot. The images show the devastating aftermath of the blaze, with flames leaving one truck just a shell of what it was before, and another photo shows how the flames ate through a truck’s quarter panel, exposing the wiring beneath. It’s not clear how long the blaze lasted, but electric vehicle fires are notoriously difficult to put out, often burning hotter, faster, and needing more water to extinguish. Ford confirmed the root causes of the fire and implemented quality actions. It stated the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center was back to full production and shipping vehicles to customers.
