UK-based online brokerage firm ThinkMarkets has launched a New Zealand entity, offering trading activities via its ThinkTrader platform. The FMA-regulated platform provides access to more than 4,000 financial instruments, including foreign exchange, commodities, indices, stocks, and cryptocurrencies. ThinkTrader can be accessed via mobile, desktop, and the web, and has a feature-rich interface. Customers can also use Traders Gym, a proprietary tool that simulates an environment for them to test their trading strategies against real market scenarios. The launch follows the firm’s move into Japan in March 2022, driven by a strategy of global expansion which has included plans to open an office in Johannesburg. The US funding round, led by Mars Growth earlier this year, provided $30m in backing.
