Match day eight of the 2023 Major League Soccer season featured some of the best goals so far. Kerwin Vargas of Charlotte FC managed a composed strike against Colorado Rapids to get the equalizer, while Carlos Vela of LAFC scored two goals in El Trafico, including a classic curling strike past Jonathan Klinsmann. Richie Laryea of Toronto FC scored the much-needed equalizer against Atlanta United, and Tyler Boyd of LA Galaxy managed a rocket from a distance to find the top right corner of the goal. However, the goal of the day was scored by Asprilla of the Portland Timbers, who brought out the bicycle kick against the Seattle Sounders in a 4-1 victory. Despite a disappointing start to the season, Portland Timbers continued to show their dominance over their Western Conference rivals. LAFC triumphed over LA Galaxy in a 3-2 victory, and Bob Bradley’s Charlotte FC managed to get the equalizer against Colorado Rapids.
