Tintin imaginatio, the creator of the famous comic book character Tintin, has partnered with blockchain infrastructure start-up Crossmint to create a limited edition NFT collection. The collection, named “The Blue Lotus”, includes two unique versions – a limited print run of 777 copies and a purely digital NFT limited to just 1,777 pieces. Both versions feature an iconic illustration created by Tintin creator Hergé in 1936 that recently sold at auction for $2.8 million. Each digital artwork contains Tintin’s travel locations and buyers will receive a digital brochure by renowned Hergéologist Philippe Goddin. The collection is also offering holders benefits like early access to new versions of “The Blue Lotus” book before publication and exclusive passes to the Hergé museum. The Tintin NFT collection offers fans the chance to own a piece of Tintin’s history, but the series has been a subject of controversy due to its early books’ racist and colonialist undertones. The “Blue Lotus” collection is available for purchase on the Digital Tintin website.
