Serie A table after Juventus’ 15-point deduction is overturned

Juventus Football Club’s 15-point deduction has been overturned, which has dramatically changed the complexion of the Italian Serie A table. Napoli are still leading the league and are expected to take the title. However, Juventus’ return to the race for European football’s top table will be watched with interest. They have been propelled to third, ahead of Roma, Milan, Inter and Atalanta. The decision to reinstate the points was taken after an investigation into allegations of false corporate communications, false communications to the stock market and obstruction of watchdog agencies. Several leading figures at the club left as a result, including former president Andrea Agnelli and club legend Pavel Nedved. Juventus are now back in the Champions League qualification hunt, but need to cut out some of the defeats they have suffered during the season.  The decision to return the points, which led to their previous place outside the top seven, will increase the chances that Juventus can earn additional income for the club, provided they continue to maintain good results and make it into the last four.
