Remembering Bobby Hull, other sports figures we’ve lost in 2023

Former NFL player and director of player personnel for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dick Haley, passed away at the age of 85. Haley played cornerback for the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers, and recorded 14 interceptions and two touchdowns during his career. He then spent 19 years in the Steelers’ Player Personnel Department under the leadership of Chuck Noll, and played an instrumental role in identifying and drafting many of the players who led the team to win four Super Bowls during the 1970s. Haley is in the franchise’s Hall of Fame, and his son Todd is a former NFL coach. Steelers President Art Rooney II praised his contributions to the team and expressed condolences to the Haley family.
