Prince Harry to attend King Charles coronation

Prince Harry will attend the coronation of his father, King Charles III, at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, according to announcements by Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes’ representatives. His wife, Meghan Markle, will not be attending the ceremony and will stay in Southern California with their two children. There has been much speculation over whether Prince Harry would attend the coronation after previous controversies regarding racism and media manipulation allegations levelled against the Royal Family. There is also curiosity over whether Harry will meet his father and older brother, Prince William, face-to-face at the event. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have previously criticised the Royal Family in a six-part Netflix series and Prince Harry revealed family secrets in his bestselling memoir “Spare.” The book alleged that members of the Royal Family feed the press negative stories about other members in exchange for positive coverage. Prince Harry also claimed that the palace and the UK press were racist towards his wife due to her mixed-race heritage, contributing to their decision to leave the country. The Sussexes made headlines again last month when they were asked to vacate their home in Britain after moving to Montecito, California. The Duke of Sussex will attend the coronation alone, heightening public interest in the ongoing internal palace drama.
