Player ratings as Red Devils crash out of Europa League

Manchester United suffered an embarrassing defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League, crashing out of the competition. After throwing away a 2-0 lead in the first leg, United never got going in the second. Sevilla soon broke the deadlock before adding two more goals. United attempted to recover in the second half, but a set-piece was their undoing. Sevilla were happy to back off and sit on their lead, allowing United to have more of the ball. However, an error by United goalkeeper David de Gea led to another goal for Sevilla. Youssef En-Nesyri was named player of the match, scoring two goals in the game. The rest of the Sevilla team, including Lucas Ocampos and Ivan Rakitic, also had strong performances. United’s poor showing led to low ratings for many of their players, with de Gea receiving a 1/10. Sevilla will now move on to face FC Barcelona in the next round of the Europa League.
