LAFC grab first El Trafico road victory with 3-2 win over rival LA Galaxy

LAFC secured their first El Trafico road victory against the LA Galaxy with a 3-2 win in Carson, California. Carlos Vela played a crucial role, scoring two goals and an assist before being substituted, as the Black and Gold overcame a strong effort by the Galaxy. LAFC now sits second in the Western Conference, with 17 points from seven games. Despite participating in the CONCACAF Champions League, LAFC head coach Steve Cherundolo is not worried about his team getting tired, as the club has invested in quality players such as defender Aaron Long and attacker Stipe Buik to rotate if needed. While the Galaxy remains winless through eight games, head coach Greg Vanney was pleased with his team’s effort, saying that they will work hard to see the fruits of their labor. LAFC will return to MLS action against Nashville SC on April 22nd, while the Galaxy will face off against Austin FC on the same day.
