Winnipeg Jets coach Rick Bowness is optimistic that forward Nikolaj Ehlers will soon receive medical clearance to play in their first-round playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights. Ehlers has been practicing with the team but was unable to participate in the first two games at T-Mobile Arena due to an upper-body injury that occurred during a game against the Minnesota Wild on April 11. The Jets won the series opener with a score of 5-1 but lost the second game 5-2. Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Canada Life Centre, while Game 4 will take place on Monday night in Winnipeg. The series will return to Nevada for Game 5 on Thursday. The Golden Knights are the top-seeded team in the Western Conference, while the Jets secured the eighth seed after taking the second wild-card berth.
