Is Gary Payton II playing in Game 3 vs. Kings?

Golden State Warriors guard Gary Payton II is questionable to play in Thursday’s game against the Sacramento Kings due to an illness, according to the NBA’s official injury report. Payton II had an impressive two-way performance in Game 2 against the Kings, scoring 13 points, grabbing six rebounds, and coming up with two steals, but the Warriors ultimately lost. Andrew Wiggins is also questionable to play due to right shoulder soreness. The Warriors have a dominant record at home this season, finishing with a 33-8 record, so they are expected to win Thursday’s game against the Kings regardless of Payton II’s status. Payton II is in his third year with the Warriors franchise and averaged 4.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game across 22 appearances this season. The Warriors will hope to secure another victory on Thursday, with or without Payton II in the lineup.
