The Philadelphia 76ers have a big James Harden problem on their hands right now.
The former MVP wants to leave the team, and GM Daryl Morey has reportedly set an unrealistic price for his services.
Harden reportedly wants to play for the Los Angeles Clippers, and even though they’re also reportedly interested in getting him, they’ve been reluctant to make an appealing offer for him.
A lot of that might have to do with the fact that Harden’s ego has often gotten in his way to success.
That was evident again last season, as Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN reports that Harden ghosted NBA Commissioner Adam Silver when he asked him to be an injury replacement for the All-Star Game (via NBA Central).

Harden was reportedly pouting and went days without responding, and by the time he replied, Silver had already moved on to select Pascal Siakam to replace Kevin Durant.
It’s not like it was Adam Silver’s fault that Harden didn’t make the All-Star team.
He did post solid numbers by leading the league in assists, but it’s getting more evident that he’s no longer the top-tier player he used to be.
Neither the fans nor the coaches voted him to make it to the big game, and he only has himself to blame for that.
Harden has burned a lot of bridges since he entered the league, and he doesn’t have that many people rooting for him anymore.
That’s going to make it difficult for the Sixers to move on from him, although they don’t seem interested in doing that at all.
