Helium Finally Migrates To The Solana Network, Mints Nearly 1 Million NFTs To Mark Milestone ⋆ ZyCrypto
Wireless network provider Helium has migrated to the Solana blockchain, with 991,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) being created to represent each node running on the project’s prior blockchain. Each NFT will serve as an authentication tool and decentralised network credential for their respective nodes. Solana developers have added a state compression feature, allowing Helium to mint its tokens cheaply, making the process more accessible to a wider community. Solana’s price has risen by over 131% this year as it has improved its technical and network infrastructure. The move is said to mutually benefit both networks by increasing use cases, cheaper fees, and improved community participation.
