FA Cup history, key players, manager & form ahead of Man City semi-final

Sheffield United, currently second in the Championship, will face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. The club, which has not reached the final since 1936, has relied on loan players including Manchester City’s attacking midfielder James McAtee and Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye, who has scored 14 goals in all competitions this season. The Blades showed impressive resilience to beat Wrexham, Millwall, Tottenham and Blackburn Rovers en route to the semi-final, with captain John Egan and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham leading a defence that has kept three clean sheets in the competition. City, who won the trophy in 2019 and 2020, have been involved in high-scoring encounters in the Cup this season, beating Birmingham City, Fulham, Swansea City and Everton by an aggregate scoreline of 15-2.
