Draymond Green’s defense as per Marreese Speights

Despite recent controversy, Draymond Green’s defensive ability is still a key asset for the Golden State Warriors in their playoff chase. Former teammate Marreese Speights analyzed Green’s abilities on SiriusXM NBA Radio, pointing out his instinct, experience defending bigger players, and timing when blocking shots. Green has exceeded expectations as a former second round pick, becoming one of the league’s best defenders. Though his overall production numbers have slipped, Green’s skillset is still essential to the Warriors’ playoff hopes. Through two games against the Sacramento Kings in the first round, Green has averaged 6.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, with shooting splits of 36.4% from the field, 33.3% from three-point range, and 75% from the free-throw line.
