A Bitcoin wallet that had been dormant for over nine years has sent out 2,071.5 BTC (worth over $60 million). The wallet received a total of 6,071.5 BTC in 2013 when the price of Bitcoin was around $663. The assets were transferred on April 20 to an address starting with “bc1q” after remaining untouched for over nine years. The reason behind the move is unknown, but some speculate that it could be crypto investors moving old funds to new addresses as a protection measure. The entire stash of 6,071.5 BTC was worth approximately $4 million when the wallet initially received the coins, but it’s now worth around $176 million.
