A blockchain protocol called Uwerx has launched the first phase of its presale of its native WERX token at $0.0065. The company plans to create a blockchain-enabled alternative to global freelancing platforms Upwork and Fiverr, which are set to triple in size to $7bn by 2025, according to the World Bank. Uwerx claims that with low transaction and platform fees, greater protection of intellectual property, data privacy and transparent record-keeping practices, it can offer a much fairer peer-to-peer marketplace. The company has passed audits with InterFi Network and Solidproof and plans to lock liquidity and renounce ownership of contracts when the project is ready to be listed on centralised exchanges. The Uwerx presale is offering buyers a chance to make a large profit by the end of 2023.
