Dollywood, the theme park owned by Dolly Parton in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, has won three Golden Ticket Awards from industry publication Amusement Today. The park was recognized for Best Kids’ Area, Best Guest Experience, and Best Christmas Event of 2021. Dollywood’s Wildwood Grove area won Best Kids’ Area for the last three years that the awards were given, and Smoky Mountain Christmas has won 14 consecutive Golden Tickets for Best Christmas Event. The park was also a finalist in seven categories, including second place for Best Food and Most Beautiful Park, and two of its roller coasters, Lightning Rod and Thunderhead, were ranked in the top ten of their respective categories. The Golden Ticket Awards are calculated based on a detailed, international survey conducted by Amusement Today. Parton said the recognition was important as it meant the park was achieving what it aimed to do, which was to take care of visitors who came to the park year after year.
