Yoocan, a community where people with disabilities share experiences and knowledge, has partnered with Why We Play to inspire the disabled community. Devann Murphy, a mobility-impaired athlete, shared her story of overcoming challenges and winning major marathons, including the TCS NYC and Boston. Murphy’s proudest moment came when she crawled to the summit of Killington Mountain for the Spartan Beast in September 2022. Despite her struggles, Murphy urged readers to keep moving, shining, showing up, and making themselves proud. Why We Play aims to bring people together through sports to overcome obstacles, make positive change, and inspire everyone. FanSided and Yoocan have teamed up to share powerful and inspiring sports stories from individuals with disabilities.
