Microsoft’s new Bing with GPT-4 can provide up-to-date information and links to reliable sources and assist in verifying facts. However, AI has its limitations, including training on flawed models, AI hallucinations, and susceptibility to manipulation. Researchers have raised concerns about AI’s vulnerability to poisoning attacks, particularly in models that rely on human interaction or subject to a central entity. Despite these limitations, AI remains a valuable tool in the fight against and verification of misinformation.
