Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan’s daughter plays huge unexpected role in must-win game against Raptors

Diar DeRozan, the daughter of Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan, may have been the X-factor in the team’s 109-105 win against the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Play-In Tournament. Diar strategically screamed when the Raptors were shooting their free throws and statistics showed that her efforts didn’t go unnoticed. The Raptors shot 18-of-36 from the free-throw line, which hurt them at the end of the game. Diar’s screams during Pascal Siakam’s free throws may have been the loudest ones of the night as he missed his last two free throws. The Bulls became the first No. 10 seed to win a Play-In Tournament game and will now head to Miami to face the No. 7 seed Heat. DeMar DeRozan went 10-of-19 from the field for 23 points with seven rebounds and three assists, while Zach LaVine led the group with 39 points on 12-of-22 from the field. Despite their great performances, an MVP trophy may have to go to Diar DeRozan for her hard work from the stands.
