Luxury brands Bugatti and Asprey Studio have partnered on a nonfungible token (NFT) project called The Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection, which will be offered both as physical “objet” and generative artwork. The eggs will be limited in number, with 111 physical versions linked to bitcoin NFTs; prices will range from $20,000 to up to $200,000. The eggshell of the Royale Edition will be made from carbon fibre and formed into the classic egg shape during a long and complex process. The eggs will feature a “dancing elephant” motif, based on a Rembrandt Bugatti sculpture, and are linked to a scene of the Bugatti Type 41 Royale hinged diamond door. While the NFTs’ mint date has not been announced, the physical eggs can take up to a year to deliver. The egg design was created by Asprey Studio’s CCO Ali Walker and coded by the firm’s strategic partner, Metagood.
