During a live broadcast of a spacewalk being undertaken by two Russian cosmonauts on the International Space Station, an Argentinean taxi driver’s radio signal interrupted the NASA transmission. While passing over the South American country, the driver could be heard checking an address over the space agency’s audio feed. It’s as yet unclear whether the interference came from the driver, whose name and dispatch firm remain unknown, or from another source on Earth. Prior to the interruption, the two cosmonauts had been working on moving a radiator from the ISS’s Rassvet module to the Nauka science module, with their eight hour operation being broadcast live on NASA’s official channel. The agency promptly apologised for the hitch, stating that it was a “hot mic.”
