Apple is reportedly developing its own journaling app for the iPhone

Apple is reportedly planning to launch a journaling app codenamed “Jurassic” as part of the iOS 17 update. It is expected to recommend subjects to write about to users on the basis of data it collects from their iPhone usage. The Journaling app could be announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. While it could compete with third-party apps such as Day One, its expected preloading on Apple devices and access to texts and calls could give it a commercial edge. The launch could also fuel complaints that Apple is sidelining competition by developing native features that essentially copy apps from other developers.
